Sand

It was a fantastically gorgeous Hartland day on Sunday and we enjoyed an adventure at White Sands National Monument. The girls had never been before (Seems like we don't take enough time to go do things that are in our neck of the woods!) and the two of them thought this giant sandbox was better than candy!
The sand was a little cool on our bare feet when we were climbing our way to the tops of the dunes, but we didn't let that get in our way. We brought our snow sled along for the ride and did a little sand sledding as well. Zoey even decided that she wanted to be buried and loved it! All of us came away with enough white sand in our clothes, hair and ears to refill the back yard sand box!

I just love this picture of Zoey trekking up this dune with only her little footprints marking her way.
